
Roles and Responsibilities of Club Committees and positions

Executive Committee
This committee is responsible for the Club as a whole.
· President – responsible for the club as a whole and Branch Council representative
· Vice President – assists and advises the President
· Secretary –responsible for club records and communications (minutes, Website, newsletters, correspondence)
· Treasurer – responsible for club finances and financial records
· Club captain – responsible for club patrols and patrolling members
Management Committee
This committee is responsible for the management of the club as a whole.
· Executive Committee +
· Club Vice Captain(s) – responsible for the patrol roster and assists the Captain
· Chief Instructor (Chief Training Officer) – responsible for the coordination of training across the club
· Junior Activities Chair – responsible for junior activities
· Member Representative on Management Committee
Finance and Property Committee
This committee is responsible for the management of the clubs finances and assets

Fundraising Committee
This committee is responsible for managing fundraising activities, grant applications and the house-to-house collection

Membership Committee
This committee is responsible for membership related issues and recruitment.

Judiciary
This committee is responsible for any disciplinary actions that may be required
· Appointed as required by management committee from senior members
Junior Activities Committee
This Committee is responsible for the management of Junior Activities in the club in conjunction with the Senior club. –See Page 5 for details of positions.
Other roles
· IRB Officer is responsible for the management of the IRBs, the motors, the ATV and Tractor.
· Club House Director is responsible for the management of the club house on weekends.
· Gear Steward is responsible for the skis and boards.
· Radio Officer is responsible for the radio communications room and equipment.
· First aid Officer is responsible for the First Aid room and equipment.
· Catering Officer is responsible for catering (juniors activities only).
· Carnival Coordinator is responsible for setting up teams and nominations for Carnivals in conjunction with team managers and age managers.
· Water Safety Coordinator/Officers is responsible for the conduct of the junior activities on the beach and the safety of all persons involved on the beach.
· Age Managers responsible for the marshalling of their age group and for working with the area coaches to develop the juniors in their care.
Supporters Club Committee
The Supporters club exists to raise money to support the Surf Club and its activities in making out beach safe. This includes support for training and equipment and competition as well as support during patrols on the beach. The Supporters club is a separate entity associated with the Club with its own committee and constitution. Supporters Club Committee:
