Congratulations to our Member of the Month for November 2020, Nicholas Rounsefell. Nic has been the current U13’s dedicated age manager for the past 8 years. He joined back in 2013 with his daughter Flo (U6) as beach safety is a must when living on the Gold Coast. It was a great idea and an excellent way to give back to the community. His favourite type of people are those who volunteer their time and help each other, being apart of the community. In saying so, Nic put his fitness skills to the test three years ago to obtain his Surf Rescue Certificate. Surf Life Saving has been a rewarding experience for Nic. He’s had the opportunity to watch his kids achieve, grow and build character. Nic is very easy-going and looks to take a well-deserved break from age managing in the years to come. At the moment, he enjoys having a cold beer at the Sunday Sesh but may end up going on patrol. Most people associate Nic with his side job at LinkPower with his work in air-conditioning. Primarily for the last 25 years, his work is in photography and video production and hopes to soon get his vanilla bean operation in full swing. All four of his family train Kung-Fu at Mantis Kung-Fu Academy in Burleigh. To close it off, Nic has some words to remember. “Miami is the best club on the Gold Coast with its relaxed vibe and chilled members. The members are the best part, and everyone deserves to be recognised for the volunteer work they do”. Congratulations Nic, we look forward to your continued involvement!!!
